Master Steel Wool K2 – Powerful Grinding and Cleaning

Are you looking for steel wool that won't back down from stubborn dirt, rust, or thick layers of paint? Master Steel Wool K2 is the robust choice for heavier-duty work. Where finer grades fall short, this K2 grade truly begins to grind and clean effectively.

K2 steel wool (medium-coarse) is the ideal partner for quickly removing old paint and varnish layers, tackling stubborn corrosion on metal, or cleaning heavily soiled wooden floors and stone surfaces. Because the steel wool fibers are flexible, you can effortlessly reach angles and edges that are difficult to work with sandpaper. This steel wool offers aggressive yet controlled abrasion, allowing you to achieve quick results during preparatory work before finishing with finer materials.

  • Medium-Coarse Texture (K2): Powerful abrasion for removing thick layers and stubborn dirt.
  • Aggressive & Effective: Removes rust, corrosion, and old paint layers remarkably quickly.
  • Flexible to Use: Effortlessly adapts to irregular shapes, profiles, and angles.
  • Versatile Application: Suitable for metal, wood, stone, and various other hard materials.
  • High Master Quality: Made from high-quality fibers for a longer lifespan and less linting.

Product Information
  • Brand: Master
  • Type: Steel Wool
  • Grade: K2 (Medium-Coarse)
Application
  • Grinding paint layers
  • Removing rust and corrosion
  • Coarse cleaning of wood, metal, and stone
  • Control Your Pressure: This K2 grade is aggressive. Apply moderate pressure and let the coarse fibers do the work.
  • Test on a Sample Piece: Due to its coarseness, K2 can leave scratches. Always test on an inconspicuous area.
  • Cut, Don't Pull: Use sturdy scissors to cut out a piece of steel wool. Pulling destroys the structure and causes loose fibers.
  • Cleaning: After use, thoroughly blow off your workpiece with compressed air or use a tack cloth to remove any small metal particles before continuing with finishing.
  • Gloves: Always wear gloves. The coarse fibers can be sharp, and loose steel splinters can penetrate the skin.
  • Eye Protection: Wear safety glasses to prevent flying metal particles or dust from entering your eyes.
  • Dust Mask: Dry grinding and polishing with K2 steel wool releases fine dust. A suitable dust mask is recommended.
  • Fire Hazard: Steel wool is highly flammable. Keep it away from open flames, sparks, and heat sources. Also be careful with grinding sparks.
  • Dry Storage: Steel wool reacts quickly with moisture and will rust. Always store it in a dry, sealed package or area.
  • Replace in Time: A rusted or completely 'saturated' roll of steel wool loses its effectiveness and can cause scratches; replace it in time.
  • Waste Disposal: Safely dispose of used steel wool soaked with flammable substances (such as oil, wax, or solvents) to prevent smoldering and spontaneous combustion.
