Professional, highly concentrated cleaner for degreasing and antistatic treatment before painting

Universol is a highly concentrated universal cleaner based on surfactants and cleaning boosters. It is primarily used for degreasing and antistatic treatment of surfaces before painting. Because Universol does not need to be rinsed off in many situations, you can continue with the painting work more quickly after cleaning. This saves time and prevents dirt or dust from settling on the surface again.

In addition to preparing surfaces for painting, Universol, when diluted to the appropriate ratio, is also suitable for general cleaning, such as floors, windows, machines, engines, and household appliances. Thanks to its high concentration, you can use it with a high dilution ratio, making the product highly efficient.

  • High concentration with a high dilution ratio (up to 1:100)
  • Universally suitable for many types of surfaces
  • Fresh scent during use
  • Rinsing off is often unnecessary, allowing you to continue working more quickly

Key features

Degreases and provides an antistatic finish

Ideal as a pre-treatment for painting. Removes grease, dirt, and light contamination, and helps make the surface antistatic, reducing the likelihood of dust settling again.

No rinsing required

Thanks to its excellent cleaning properties, rinsing off is unnecessary in many cases. This means that as soon as the surface is dry, you can continue directly with sanding, priming, or topcoating.

High dilution ratio

Dilute Universol with water to a maximum ratio of 1:100. Depending on the level of contamination, choose a higher concentration for heavier-duty cleaning or use a milder solution for maintenance cleaning.

Versatile use

Also suitable for cleaning floors, windows, machines, engines, and equipment. Convenient as a universal cleaner in workshops, construction, and maintenance.

Application in painting
  • Degreasing existing paint and lacquer layers
  • Cleaning wood, metal, plastic, and various hard surfaces
  • Antistatic treatment for better adhesion and reduced dust accumulation
  • Preparation for sanding, priming, and topcoating
General cleaning

When diluted to the appropriate ratio, Universol is suitable for all kinds of cleaning tasks. This includes floors, windows, machines, and equipment. Choose the concentration based on the level of contamination and the surface, and test on a small area first if in doubt.

Step-by-step

  • Dilute Universol with water to a maximum ratio of 1:100
  • Apply with a sponge, cloth, or brush
  • Clean the surface evenly and wipe up the dirt
  • For heavy contamination: increase the concentration or repeat the treatment
  • Allow the surface to dry before continuing with the painting work

Practical tip: work in sections on large surfaces. This prevents contamination from being spread again and allows you to maintain control over the results.

Theoretical coverage: 10 - 100 m2 per litre

Coverage depends on the dilution ratio, the surface, and the level of contamination. You will achieve higher coverage with maintenance cleaning or light contamination. For heavier contamination, use a higher concentration, which will result in lower coverage.

High dilution

For light contamination and maintenance: highly efficient and ideal for larger surfaces.

Higher concentration

For heavy contamination or greasy surfaces: greater cleaning power; repeat the treatment if necessary.

  • Suitable for use in almost all conditions
  • Do not use in direct sunlight
  • Do not use in freezing conditions
  • Ensure the surface is dry before painting

In warm conditions, a cleaner may dry more quickly. In such cases, it is preferable to work in the shade and treat smaller areas at a time.

According to the safety data sheet, Universol is not classified as hazardous under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP). The product is intended for industrial and professional use. A safety data sheet is available upon request.
